Pool

I've been meaning to write about my pool game last Tuesday. About how I should have won. About how I shouldn't be thinkng about how I should've won, but my opponent should be thinking right now about how he should have won. About how I lost my 5-0 winning streak on Tuesdays, as well as my overall winning streak (not counting those damn qualifiers). About how I lost my 10-1 or 20-1 or whatever it is winning streak as anchor. About how I lost my 7-1 or something winning streak in a deciding match. About how additionally my match cost us a loss that night. The second loss of the season. The first loss this season that was because of me. Damn it. All that from one game. Hill-hill, too. Not like I got my ass kicked, but I actually had a chance to win and didn't. Of course if I would've won, that's what my opponent would be thinking. One of us was going to have to lose. What bothers my most is that I lost mainly because my momentum dissappeared after losing a game. That's a really serious psychological issue with pool. It's much easier to win a game when one has already won a game, than to win a game when one's opponent has. It shouldn't be that way. In fact, technically, there should be more of an effort to win when one has lost the first game, but that's not the case. At least not with me. That's what I need to work on.
