October 2005

      Monday, October 31st

My place of work.

Happy Halloween! Happy first day of work to me!

Sunday, October 30th

I know it looks like a Halloween costume, but I just ran out of laundry, that's all.

Saturday, October 29th

Jersey

My sweet brother
Interesting Halloween costumes

Quelf: an interesting boardgame, for all ages, involving weird stuff one must do if he or she has no dignity. Fun.
Quelf
For instance, picking your nose and yodeling until you roll a 2 three times in a row.
Or pretending to take sexy photos of yourself.
Or getting up and being a willow tree and humming a sad movie theme song every time someone rolls a 4... ...because 4 is a sad number.
Or one of my favorites, wearing a bowl over your head and hitting yourself with a spoon while screaming...  "Bobby! It's me! Let me in!"

And after all is over, Matt and I go to the edge

Friday, October 28th

And I'm sorry that I haven't been updating for a while, for all those who are surprisingly interested in my life.

In short, I've been shooting a lot of pool. Every day, a couple of hours. And after all this I lose my match on Tuesday. And I didn't lose because my opponent won. I lost because I lost, because I scratched on the eight twice.

And these things happen. I know that. It's happened to everyone. And I have to just put it behind me. It's not even a big deal, it's not a play-off match or anything. But it's still bothering me! I can't help but be really pissed off at myself and feel that all that practicing lately was useless. I know that's wrong, but I can't help thinking it anyway.

What else have I been doing? Watching movies, watching TV shows, invading people's houses, and working. For my part-time job thing. I'm still waiting to start working full-time; hopefully, this Monday.

So, ok, from now on, I'll try to update more often.

Thursday, October 27th

So, everyone's been nagging me to update my site. Here you go, another tidbit out of my lately boring life.

Working all day, cleaning room, then watching movies with Adrian.

           And torturing my cat.

Friday, October 14th- Sunday, October 16th

KSP "Slyot"

That is: Russians, Camping, Music,...

Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania

Went camping with Matt and Eugene to Bloomsberg, Pennsylvania. A crazy, long drive through pouring rain and political debates.

"Peeling is fun, try it!" Can't say "no" to that. By the way, does anyone have Boardwalk?

 It's Tannersville, Pennsylvania!!

That's where Don crashed my car five years ago!

It's the KSP security people. A little too dressed up, in my opinion.

  Our "mansion" tent

(compare to the picture of our KZM tent below!)

Nice, big grill this time, too!

 Melted fork..

My family went as well, but they didn't stay in the same area as us. So on Saturday, my mom comes by my tent, and starts bumming cigarettes, then asks for a bloody mary. Matt, who was already on his way towards being drunk, keeps pouring my mom more and more, and ends up getting her really drunk, which was very weird, considering my mom never drinks.

Matt learns guitar.

Mmmm...big bottle of vodka...

After a few days of hearing the same songs coming from every camp site, though, I don't think I can touch my guitar or hear these songs for at least a week.

But it was fun!

Lots of people, playing guitar, drinking, singing familiar songs by the fire.
And I met many really nice and drunk people, and many great guitar players, and I heard many songs, some of which I haven't heard in ages.
Matt and Eugene, drunk and tired.
My brother, Theodore.

Being tortured by his friends, who all came to visit our camp site and help us finish our food.

My brother torturing Eugene.

And last, but not least....

Sunday, early afternoon. We're packed, and ready to go home. I have a pool match to play tonight.

Eugene and I pack up the tent, while Matt walks to the parking lot to bring the car over.

Half an hour later, a phone call:

Matt can't locate his car keys!

We looked everywhere, asked everyone, but to no avail. Finally, we called AAA, and then the local locksmith.

Meanwhile, my phone is out of batteries, and so is everyone else's. The local phone doesn't work.

I use my mom's phone to try to get a price from AAA, but they had me on hold for so long that I just ended up calling the local service.

They didn't charge as much as we expected, which was very nice,

but we did have to wait for- literally- hours.

Finally, the locksmith made Matt a new key, and, 5 hours later than we had hoped, we were on our way home!  So why is it the case that every time I travel, I always fall into some kind of crazy, uncalled for, story!?

Last time we went camping, we had the whole "Mark thing". And now this!

And the worst part- my pool team had to forfit the last match. =(

The beautiful colors of autumnal Pennsylvania!

And the sunset, the last photo before my camera battery joined the rest of the dead technological equipment we owned.

Sunday, October 3rd

The Medieval Festival at Tyron Park

Tyron Park, up in Washington Heights, or whatever that area is. Beautiful views (except for the fact that that's Jersey on the other side...gross).

Errr...

Face painting

Three-legged dogs!!

Bikers! Big chickens for little people.

Adrian finds his Scottish roots.

The cellular phones don't quite fit in!

Spooky-ky-ky

Is this some kind of computer age rebellion thing? I don't get it. Someone please explain.

The Aristocrats! ::snaps fingers:: (Only those who've seen the documentary will get the joke)

Big, mean, fat guy who walked the streets challenging everyone to a dual.

Yeah, you blend.

And here I am!

The festivities...

Music:

painfully off-key.

The Knight fighting.

Mmmm... sexy long-haired Medieval knights.

The Chess fighting:

Stretch those legs, ye sexy men.

Take him down, woman!

Take down that give-to-the-poor thief Robin Hood!

Let's take a break to dance.

We've got you now, old grey-haired fat man!

Take that you puny little man!

Ouch!

You can take me, but you'll never take my alcohol!

That's right, don't mess with a man with booze!

Mmmm... ye meat pies!

Grrrr... Ahhh!

Buggsy goes for a new look:

And last but not least, the interestingly stated bleacher rules.

I haven't had enough: to September--> September
